PROVIDENCE -- Vega Interactive, creators of ListItRI.com -- a new Web site featuring local online classifieds for Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts -- announced recently that it has formed a partnership with NBC-10 WJAR to bring online local classified listings to NBC's portal Web site, turnto10.com.
Channel 10 Web site users will be able to browse all ListItRI.com classified categories (automotive, general merchandise, real estate, local services and restaurant listings). The partnership will allow users to sell goods and services, find deals and save money.
The partnership reflects a growing awareness of the value of classified content to large portal Web sites. According to a press release, in 2003, 52 percent of the Internet audience will utilize online classifieds to find general merchandise, autos, real estate or job opportunities; more than half that group will use online classifieds at least once a week.
